Norwegians to provide protection for array and export links at 370MW project
Norwegian company Seaproof Solutions has won a contract from Van Oord to provide cable protection systems for the 370MW Norther offshore wind farm off the coast of Belgium.
The contract covers the design and supply of 89 cable protection systems for array and export links.
Seaproof chief executive Henrik Bang-Andreasen said: “We are honoured that Van Oord has chosen Seaproof Solutions as a partner, granting us the opportunity to contribute to making the Norther project a success.”
Norther will consist of 44 8.4MW MHI Vestas V164 turbines and is being developed by a joint venture of Eneco, Mitsubishi Corp subsidiary Diamond Generation Europe and Belgium energy company Elicio.
